Last night, Mariah performed at this year's Samsung AT&T SummerKrush series opener in Hollywood, California, where hundreds of fans, including fifty lucky HBF winners gathered to see a set of five of the best MC songs from her past two albums. Mariah started off the show with a medley of "Touch My Body" and "I'll Be Lovin' U Long Time". She was then joined by Young Jeezy for a performance of "Side Effects" (E=MC2). Following those two songs which later aired on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Mariah entertained the crowd with extra performances of the fan-favorites "I'm That Chick", "Shake It Off" and "We Belong Together".

Jimmy Kimmel then interviewed Mariah who talked about her marriage, the experience of swimming with dolphins in Hawaii for the video of "I'll Be Lovin' U Long Time" and her new perfume "Luscious Pink". (Watch the interview: Part 1, Part 2.)

LOS ANGELES (Billboard) - Surrounded by thousands of screaming fans, Mariah Carey performed five songs during a brief concert at a Hollywood shopping mall on Thursday.

Portions of the gig at the Hollywood & Highland Center, which featured a guest appearance by rapper Young Jeezy on "Side Effects," were broadcast Thursday on ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" Other songs performed by the pop diva included a medley of "I'll Be Lovin' U Long Time"/"Touch My Body," "I'm That Chick," "Shake It Off" and "We Belong Together."

Most of the tunes were drawn from Carey's newest album, "E=MC2," which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 in April, and has sold 1.1 million copies in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan.

The performance launched the second year of a free summer concert series designed to promote a Samsung cell phone. Other acts scheduled to perform at venues around the country include Gavin Rossdale, LeAnn Rimes, Nelly, Nas, the Smashing Pumpkins and Good Charlotte.

The “Touch My Body” babe donned a sexy black tank top with a black leather skirt, black leggings, and a pair of super-high black heels as she charmed the crowd with a smattering of her hits.

And it sounds like Mariah has already begun the motorcade of generosity towards her new hubby Nick Cannon, with reports that she’s recently purchased a multi-million-dollar love nest in the West Indies.

A source told press, "Mariah's just bought her and Nick an amazing hideaway in the West Indies for them to escape to. She's also eying up another get away in Monte Carlo as she loves chilling out there."

Mariah is in hush-hush talks to become a permanent headliner at the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, which could score her $100 million for a three-year commitment, an insider tells Star. "Mariah is one of the most popular performers around," the insider adds. "She could easily become Queen of the Las Vegas strip!" And Mariah's new husband, Nick Cannon, is all for the idea. "Nick loves Vegas," the insider says. "Maybe he could even be Mariah's opening act!"

Note: The contract offer, according to a Planet Hollywood source, would be for 5 nights a week for 3 years and worth $100 million. Mariah has not accepted and they are apparently still in negotiations.

"I'll Be Lovin' U Long Time" REMIX Contest

Professionals and amateurs alike will have the chance to remix the third single from Mariah Carey's platinum-plus album "E=MC2" via a contest hosted on a startup social network Web site for musicians, Billboard has learned.

Starting July 15, the complete stems of "I'll Be Lovin' U Long Time," from Carey's Island release, will be made available to the members of Indaba Music, an online community for aspiring and established producers and artists.

"Mariah is the queen of the remix," manager Mark Sudack says, citing the pop star's work with dance producers like David Morales -- for whom she resang the vocals of 1993's "Dreamlover" -- and Junior Vasquez, as well as hip-hop greats like Sean "Diddy" Combs, DJ Clue, Ol' Dirty Bastard and the Lox. "This contest is a way for her to continue being a pioneer in the remix world, potentially finding a new sound, a new power, a new energy in the online space, as opposed to just the go-to producers of the moment."

The contest involves elements of fan voting, user-generated content and social networking. Entrants must join Indaba by creating a profile and can then download the song stems, work on their mix and submit it via the site by August 26. The Indaba community will pick its 10 favorite mixes via online voting. Three judges -- including Sudack, who co-executive-produced "E=MC2" -- will then select the winner. The producer of the winning mix will receive $5,000, be designated as Carey's No. 1 MySpace friend for four weeks and possibly have his or her work released.

The contest is more than just a unique way to promote the single, according to Sudack. "It's a marketing tool as much as it is a contest," he says. "But nowadays all you need is a laptop and a drum machine, and you have all the equipment that you need to go and make something that's hot and sounds special. There's so much potential talent out there that's untapped. You could have the next Jermaine Dupri sitting in a room somewhere, and he's got all the talent and all this genius with just no options to connect the dots."

It's called 'I'll Be Lovin' U Long Time' and it ticks all the boxes for a modern-day Mariah smash. Mid-tempo R&B beat? Check. Gushingly romantic lyrics? You betcha. Guest appearance from a trendy rapper? Yup, here's T.I. for ya! And she's nice and restrained with the old vocals too.

Original it ain't, but 'Long Time' does have that touch of class that 'Bye Bye' seemed to lack. It's also got a definite Kanye West feel to it, which makes sense seeing as it was co-produced by DJ Toomp, who contributed to West's Graduation album. The UK release date is September 1

The song's laidback beat, syncopated piano, occasional ascending strings, and pleasant T.I. verse make "I'll Be Lovin' U Long Time" a pretty perfect roller rink jam, and that's not even mentioning the fact that Carey hilariously makes a catchy chorus out of a reference to the "me so horny" line from Full Metal Jacket. At the very least, it's a nice breather in between repeat listens of "Love in This Club".

With just a few friends on hand (and four boxes of Maine lobster), surprise couple Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon tie the knot at a sunset ceremony on the beach in the Bahamas.

They hadn't even gone public with their relationship--in fact, they had only recently begun seeing each other--when Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon decided to take the plunge. "We got tattoos!" says Carey. "His is on one shoulder to the other and it says 'Mariah.'" And hers? "It's on my lower back and it says 'Mrs. Cannon,'" she says. Only after that did they ink a marriage license--and pull off the surprise wedding of the year. Carey and singer-actor Cannon first met in 2005 at the Teen Choice Awards but only started dating in late March. Just weeks later, to the shock of a lot of their friends and family, they whisked off to Carey's Bahamian estate and wed in a sunset, ocean-side ceremony April 30. While still on their honeymoon, the giddy newlyweds spoke exclusively to People's Liz McNeil about their whirlwind courtship, Cannon's candy-themed proposal and--yep--having kids.

So, how does it feel to be married?
Mariah: [Laughing] Who wants to go first? You go first.
Nick: It feels amazing. My cheeks hurt from smiling so hard. I've been smiling for days.
Mariah: It's comforting--and something I've never felt before. Which is really being in love and happy with someone who really understands me and isn't trying to do anything but make me happy. It's wonderful.
It happened pretty fast, didn't it?
Nick: In our minds, it was a love-at-first-sight thing. Since we've been together, we've been inseparable.
Mariah: I don't think anyone realized what we already know--that we were going to get married.When did you first know that?
Nick: I'd always admired Mariah from afar, but once we connected I felt it was destined: This has to be my wife.
Mariah: I definitely knew. Of course, everyone is running the photo from the 2005 Teen Choice Awards...
Nick: From then on, I thought, "I have to get closer to her and express my true feelings." I was praying I'd have the chance to share them with her.
Mariah: People were very skeptical and told him, "You can never get past her people." I only knew that he'd say nice things about me. So I thanked him when [I saw him again].
Nick: I said, "I meant every single word. Hopefully I can express more to you." She was down-to-earth. From that point, we built a friendship.

In late March, Carey flew to Antigua to shoot a music video for "Bye Bye," from her new album, E=MC². She cast Cannon, 27--star of MTV's Wild'N Out, and an entertainment minimogul with his own record label and clothing line--as the romantic lead.

Mariah: I told people, "I like him and want him to do it." The song was a love story. It was perfect for us.
Nick: From the first time we sat down to discuss the video at the Beverly Hills Hotel, we connected. We had so much in common spiritually, and we laugh at the same things. I didn't have to put on my Mac Daddy suave mode. I was able to be myself with her. We are both eternally 12 years old.
Mariah: [Laughing] We were having a such a good time on the shoot.
Nick: I brought her little pieces of candy. I'd write little third-grade notes instead of being over-the-top.
Mariah: He wrote the note, "Will you be my girlfriend?" with boxes for yes or no. In the video, we're boyfriend and girlfriend. It seemed very natural.
Were all your friends surprised by your marriage?
Mariah: Some were, but some weren't. One thing [few people] knew was we got tattoos a few weeks earlier. So anyone who saw my [Mrs. Cannon] tattoo wasn't surprised.
Nick: To me rings are special and exciting, but tattoos mean more than anything. They're forever and ever. They professed our love.
Mariah: And they hurt!
Nick: A lot.
Why did you keep your engagement and wedding plans a secret?
Mariah: We only told people who had to know. [To everyone else] we said we were [going to the Bahamas] for the video. If we brought a million people with us, it would've been obvious we weren't shooting a video.

The week of the wedding, Nick and Mariah traveled to her estate on the Bahamian island of Windermere on a Gulfstream jet. They also flew in boxes of live Maine lobsters, fine china and Dom Perignon champagne. Just a dozen guests attended, including BFFs like rapper Da Brat.

Mariah: Only about four people know we were going down there to get married. Once we were there, they gave me a bachelorette party. Everyone calls me Mary Poppins. No matter how provocatively I might dress, I'm very pruddish. So they did everything they could to shock me. They had a grab bag full of silly things they think a bachelorette wants. They were so happy they got to embarrass me.
Describe your wedding dress.
Mariah: It was a simple, slim-cut dress [by Nile Cmylo] in an off-white that turns into a very pale pink to match the sand. And [Christian] Louboutins--I can wear high heels with Nick because he's tall. Flats are not in my repertoire. Nick looked beautiful in his tux.
Nick: I think it was Balenciaga.
How was the ceremony?
Mariah: We got married at sunset on the beach. We were trying to get the really golden light. It was late--of course I was late, it's just in my DNA. We had a white carpet on the sand that went to the water's edge. My pastor Clarence Keaton flew in from New York. The whole wedding was really beautiful and sweet. Being there with loved ones under the sky... it was a spiritual moment.
What were you thinking then?
Mariah: When I walked down the aisle, I was thinking, "My veil is blowing all over the place!" It was really windy. I was nervous. We didn't know if they would make us speak.
Nick: I haven't been shy in years, but I was speechless. I was elated, but I was thinking, "Don't pass out." What the pastor did was really cool. He said, "The eyes are the window to the soul," then gave us an entire minute to stare into each other's eyes. So I was saying, "Don't cry."
Mariah: With the sun setting on the turquoise water, we kissed.
Nick: We had our passionate wedding kiss. Then I swooped her off her feet.
Mariah: He carried me to the water.
And afterward?
Mariah: The cake came out. Everybody stumbled over their toasts. They didn't know what to say. They thought they were coming to a shoot!
What about a honeymoon?
Mariah: That was being here [in the Bahamas] after the wedding. Some friends stayed, too, but it was really time for Nick and I to be together.
Have you thought about kids yet?
Mariah: It's part of the whole purpose of getting married. I'd just want our children to have the best childhood and upbringing they possibly could.So you have thought about kids?Mariah: Yes. Nick: Absolutely.
What do you love about each other?
Nick: She is beautiful on the outside and 10 times as beautiful on the inside. She is such a giving, nurturing spirit. Someone who has spent their entire life making others happy.
Mariah: We really do feel we are soulmates. I never felt a love like this was in the cards for me. I was always so career-oriented. I would hope and pray for my friends to find love, but I never did that for myself. And then? Everything just fell into place!
The Proposal
On April 25 Cannon took Carey to the roof of her N.Y.C. apartment to see the Empire State Building, lit pink and lavender to honor her album E=MC². As he often did, he gave her a Ring Pop--candy shaped like a big jewel. But inside the wrapper was a 17-carat pink-diamond ring created by Jacob & Co.'s Jacob Arabo. Her reaction? "He had ribbons around it, so I said, 'I think mine's broken,'" says Carey. When he dropped to one knee, "she ran away and got all shy." he says. Finally, she said yes--twice. Cannon, who filmed it all, proposed again to get a perfect take, this time on a helicopter. "That," says Carey, "was beautiful."

Simplicity at it's best... Take one Mariah Carey and add just a dash of Stargate and you have a recipe for magic as Miss Carey pulls an utterly delicious track out the bag

The Mariah album E=MC² looks to be shorter than usual on ballad type of material- that is so often distinctly handled by the record breaking diva. The production on this track is first class via the Stargate boys, who surely must be in line for a second release from the album with the infectious 'That Chick' (but that's another review).

For all you lovers out there be prepared to break-up and make-up to this one as only Mariah Carey can deliver starters, main course and afters all in one go! An absolutely stunning track, sung in an absolutely stunning manor by an absolutely stunning diva. And I normally hate Bye Bye's!

E=MC2 also debuts #1 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop albums chart and #1 on the Top Digital albums chart (Mariah's first-ever #1 digital album debut with over 50,000 scanned!). TV appearances continue this Friday, April 25th on ABC, when Mariah returns to Good Morning America for a live outdoor concert with New York's Times Square as her backdrop. Three years to the month since she first shut down traffic outside GMA's studios on 44th Street to celebrate the release week of The Emancipation Of Mimi, Mariah will once again welcome thousands of fans to the event, slated between 8:00 and 9:00 a.m. She then hurries uptown for a guest appearance on Live with Regis & Kelly.

Mariah reached an historic career achievement earlier this month when "Touch My Body" became her 18th #1 hit on the Billboard Hot 100 - surpassing one of the most enduring chart records in Billboard history, Elvis Presley's 17 #1's. "Touch My Body"'s two weeks at the top marked Mariah's 78th and 79th cumulative career weeks at #1, which tied Elvis' long-standing all-time high of 79 weeks at #1, as calculated in Billboard. At the same time, Mariah is now positioned as the only active recording artist in the 50 years of the Hot 100 (which began in 1958) with the potential to surpass the Beatles' all-time high of 20 #1 hits.

"Touch My Body" took over the #1 spot with an all-time record-setting 286,000 debut week on the Billboard Hot Digital Songs chart. The video, directed by feature filmmaker Brett Ratner, and featuring a cameo by Jack McBrayer (30 Rock's Kenneth Parcell), stays in rotation on VH1, VH1 Soul, BET and 106 & Park, and FUSE; as well as #1 at Yahoo Music Video. "Touch My Body" also topped the AOL video charts for several weeks.

Clear Channel Online played a major part in the Mariah Carey promotion, simultaneously launching "Touch My Body" as it went to radio. The song was played over 400,000 times in one week and debuted at #1 on the On-Demand Chart. Tracks from E=MC2 were also featured in Clear Channel's Sneak Peak promotion a week before the album was released.

"Bye Bye" impacted across-the-board at Pop, Rhythmic, and Urban radio formats on Monday, April 21 and is #1 most added across the board.

Leading up to the release of E=MC2, "Touch My Body" was one of two songs (along with "Migrate") that were performed by Mariah last month on NBC's Saturday Night Live, hosted by Jonah Hill, the show to be re-run on May 3rd. Earlier this month, Mariah gave a special performance of "Touch My Body" and "We Belong Together" after the season premiere of the MTV reality series, "The Hills." The episode set a year-to-date record as the highest rated telecast on cable TV.

On April 9th, Mariah joined an all-star cast for the second annual "IDOL Gives Back" two-hour TV special, a music celebration raising awareness and benefiting various U.S. and international charities. The following Monday, April 14th, Mariah appeared as special guest on The Oprah Winfrey Show, chatting with the host and performing "Bye Bye." The next day, as E=MC2 was released, Mariah began a two-night stint on American Idol, serving as musical mentor to that week's finalists on night one, and performing "Bye Bye" on night two.

"Touch My Body" was produced by Mariah Carey, C. "Tricky" Stewart, and fellow Island Def Jam artist The-Dream. Other guest producers joining Mariah on E=MC2 include Jermaine Dupri, DJ Toomp, Stargate, Will I Am, Bryan Michael Cox, Nate "Danjahandz" Hills and James Poyser. • Mariah Carey crowns the Billboard 200 for a sixth time as "E=MC2" starts atop the tally with 463,000 -- her biggest opening week. It's also the highest sales week of the year, surpassing the 375,000 start of Jack Johnson's "Sleep Through the Static" in February. Finally, "E=MC2" marks the best opening week for any album since Mary J. Blige's "Growing Pains" started with 629,000.

• Carey is now tied with fellow divas Madonna and Janet Jackson for the second most No. 1 albums among female artists. Only queen bee Barbra Streisand, with eight, is ahead of the pack.

• "E=MC2" is the eighth debut at No. 1 in as many weeks on the fast-moving Billboard 200. It follows penthouse-bows from Jackson, Alan Jackson, Rick Ross, Danity Kane, Day26, George Strait and Leona Lewis.

• Carey's last album, "The Emancipation of Mimi," also landed at No. 1 in its premier week, moving 404,000. "Mimi" spent two weeks atop the chart, was the best-selling album in the United States in 2005 and has shifted 5.8 million units total... This is the first time Carey has scored back-to-back No. 1 albums since "Daydream" and "Butterfly" reached the top in 1995 and 1997.

• Collectively, Carey's albums have sold 50 million copies in the United States since Nielsen SoundScan began tracking sales data in 1991. She's the third-biggest-selling albums artist in the SoundScan era, trailing only Garth Brooks (67.8 million) and the Beatles (56.2 million).

This week, after a final tally, they report Mariah's E=MC² is the #1 selling CD with 475,607 copies sold. According to the HDD chart, the #2 CD sold 90,485 copies this week.The HDD report is not official and should only be used as an estimate/approximation for the amount of copies the album's sold and its position on the chart. The official SoundScan numbers and the Billboard position will be released tomorrow.

Morales Releases Unofficial "Touch My Body" Remix

The new album - from which introductory single Touch My Body reached number five last week - is Carey's third Def Jam effort, following 2002's Charmbracelet, which reached number 52, and 2005's The Emancipation Of Mimi. Despite Charmbracelet's low peak, it has sold 122,010, easily beating disastrous predecessor, Glitter, Carey's only (2001) Virgin album, which reached number 10 but has sold only 54,645 copies. The Emancipation Of Mimi has sold 621,352 copies.

South Korea
E=MC² is #1 on Hanteo's International Album chart for South Korea. Both album versions combined (regular + deluxe version) sold 1,693 copies in the debut week. The Emancipation of Mimi sold 10,343 for the month in South Korea, debuting at #3 on the monthly international chart.
